CBS Radio is one of the largest major-market operators in the United States with stations covering news, sports, talk, rock, oldies, country, adult contemporary and urban formats, among others. A division of CBS Corporation, CBS RADIO owns and operates nearly 200 radio stations and channels, including 7 local terrestrial stations (as well as several additional HD and streaming channels) in Chicago alone.
The newest asset we've added is the Last.fm. CBS Radio’s 140+ radio stations will now be available to the audience of the music and social-networking site Last.fm. Last.fm connects listeners with similar musical tastes, and recommends songs and artists matching the styles they’ve selected. CBS Radio’s streaming listeners will be able to shift seamlessly to the Last.fm site from the player.
In addition to CBS Radio’s nearly 200 stations and custom channels, the company also powers AOL Radio’s 350+ stations, giving users access to even more content and music. A brand new state-of-the-art player developed by CBS Radio incorporates the more than 500 stations and allows audiences to toggle between stations; view song titles, album information, link to websites, and more.
CBS Radio is proud to announce the addition of Yahoo! Music’s LAUNCHcast Radio. This agreement unites two of the largest online radio providers and expands the breadth of free music, news, talk and sports content available to millions of Yahoo! users, while expanding distribution of our CBS Radio / AOL stations. Yahoo! Music stations reach over 31,000 listeners per month.
